Academic Planning and Student Support
Welcome to the Academic Planning & Student Support (AP&SS) webpages. We have university-wide role of determining, facilitating and providing academic advice and guidance to all undergraduate students. We work closely with the academic faculties/departments, the Undergraduate Offices and other professional departments to provide a holistic and personalised support service to enable student success.
AP&SS is part of the Academic Development & Review department, headed by Jean Fawcett. It comprises of two academic leaders, Habib Rahman and Dr Rosemary Skordoulis and seven Personal Academic Adviser Co-ordinators (PAACs). While the academic leaders focus on strategic matters with the Director, the academic advice work is led by the PAACs who are located within the undergraduate offices (UGOs).
The PAACs lead a team of Personal Academic Advisers (PAAs) who are dedicated to supporting students from particular courses. The PAA works closely with the course leader and the course administrator and together they will endeavour to help you achieve your goals.
AP&SS is also involved in research into academic student support and aims to be cutting edge in providing this service.
