Studio 5: From Metanarrative to Poetic Narrative

The Five Senses of Asperger Syndrome by April Slocombe, animated documentary, (2016).

Studio brief

This studio is designed to help you realise your own personal ideas and specialist skills through a series of seminars and workshops that focus on traditional and more avant-garde approaches to narrative. The studio is designed so that contextual studies and professional development planning from other level 6 modules directly influence and underpin the emerging major studio project work.

By the end of term one, your initial pre-production work will be distilled into a ‘Two-Sider’ format; a double-sided A4 card used to pitch pilot episodes to production companies at short pitching events such as Cartoon Forum. These Two-Siders will form part of the display at an official London International Animation Festival event in the Bank Gallery at The Cass on Thursday 1 December 2016.
