Studio 4: Encrypt

Studio brief

"Decode, encode, recode, engage, breakdown, reassemble, switch on, switch off".

In Studio 4, we challenge you to question, reimagine and reconfigure what you believe a design process to be.

We'll ask you to emotionally engage in your work, self-reflect, analyse and excel beyond your own expectations.

In the process of your work, you'll explore the impact of new technologies in the quest to diversify and innovate. You have the opportunity to use tools, software and apps in both your 2D and 3D development work. You'll explore how craft and artisanal approaches to making can be married to the new design processes, and discover which mediums best suit your personal design language.

Briefs range from the "Who am I" journey of self-discovery to "Digital Disturbances" that challenge the conventions of fashion mediums.

In addition to briefs that challenge design methodology, you'll gain a wealth of experience in making in Encrypt, with briefs such as Augmented Archetypes and the live project partnership entitled Loom.
