Research Centre Highlights 2015

The Intelligent Systems Research Centre (ISRC) has many achievements, some of which for 2015 are outlined below:

  1. The Centre had 17 international refereed journal and 5 conference paper publications in 2015, some which are furnished in the publications webpage.
  2. The Centre has three PhD completions in 2015.
  3. The Centre currently has 21 PhD students.
  4. The Centre had £7,484 income for reviewing EPSRC research proposals in 2015.
  5. The Centre has obtained one new KTP - £118,000 in 2015.
    1. Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) with eConnect Cars: To develop a bespoke software application that will facilitate a large scale use of electric vehicles in a private hire operation to provide efficiency, customer service and driver experience.
  6. The Centre acts as a peer review for British Council.
  7. The Centre has made a significant contribution to UoA11 Computer Science and Informatics REF2014. Half of the staff who contributed to UoA11 Computer Science and Informatics were from ISRC. The Director of the Centre has led the UoA11 for REF2014.
