Merryn Hutchings

Professor of Education, Acting Director of IPSE

Merryn Hutchings taught in London schools for 15 years before joining the (then) Polytechnic of North London. Her PhD, Children's Constructions of Work, was the winner of the British Educational Research Association's Dissertation Award in 1998.

Current research interests include teacher supply and retention, supply teachers, and various aspects of teachers' training and work.
