Svetlana Stephenson

 

 

Dr Svetlana Stephenson is Senior Lecturer in International Comparative
Sociology at London Metropolitan University. She worked at the Russian Centre for Public Opinion Research (Moscow) and Universities of Essex and Luton. She has researched urban social organisation in Moscow and written on disadvantaged social groups (sex workers, street children and homeless people). She has recently finished a two-year research project on "Violent street groups and organised crime in Russia" funded by the Harry Frank Guggenheim Foundation.
