Christine Hogg was educated at Sheffield University and Oxford. She has a wide experience in research projects, consultancies and training in health and social policy, working with both voluntary and statutory organisations, mainly around promoting the views of patients and public.
Christine was awarded an ESRC Small Grants award for the research entitled: ''User Involvement in Health - Values and conflicts in national policy 1974 - 2004'', which examined the events that led to the abolition of community health councils and the setting up of the Commission for Patient and Public Involvement in Health by examining documentation and interviewing key actors in the events under examination.
