The EHRAC Legal Skills Development Programme (LSDP) is an annual event that is designed to complement participants’ existing legal knowledge and build new practical litigation skills.
Sessions generally cover a variety of topics ranging from the enforcement of European Court judgments to discussion on litigation strategies to lectures on substantive legal issues and points of law. EHRAC also runs classes on legal English and legal administration in order to support the capacity of human rights lawyers of partner NGOs. All sessions are facilitated by experts in the field of European Court human rights litigation.
Throughout the LSDP, participants are also encouraged to enhance cooperation by sharing practices and experiences.
The Legal Skills Development Programme is organised by EHRAC in order to:
- Enhance the capacity of NGOs and lawyers in Russia and the South Caucasus to successfully litigate human rights cases internationally on a strategic basis.
- Enhance the operational capacity of partner organisations so that they function more effectively.
