London Metropolitan University currently has over 400 students from Italy studying on undergraduate, postgraduate and semester abroad programs.
Entry to International Foundation Programme:
Students with lower grades in the Maturita ore Diploma de Esame di Stato may be referred to the IFP before going onto undergraduate study.
The International Foundation Programme is designed to help students who have completed a twelve year school education system, or who need to build their confidence in English to bridge the gap between their current studies and UK degree standards.
The course is also designed to take your level of English from around IELTS 4.5 to around IELTS 5.5, and particularly focuses on your academic and written English.
For Entry to Bachelors/Undergraduate courses :
(Qualifications until 1999) Students should have the Maturita with an overall final mark of between 45 and 60 (highest mark).
(Qualifications after 1999) Students should have successfully completed the (Diploma de) Esame di Stato with an overall mark of 70% (out of 100).
For Entry to Masters/Postgraduate courses :
Students should have successfully completed one of the following exams:
Laurea Specialista, Diploma di Laurea, Curso di Laurea (prior to 1999), Licenza di Accademia di Belle Arti, Bachelor, Diploma Universitario
with an overall mark of 100 out of 110
For MBA, students also need three years of work experience at managerial level and a min. IELTS 6.5 or or TOEFL IBT overall 91+
(reading = 21, listening = 22, speaking = 23, writing = 21)
