Kelvin J Birk trained as a gold- and silversmith in Germany and England. He set up his London studio in 1998. He crafts jewellery as well as larger objects, mainly in silver and gold and crushed gemstones.

Kelvin J. Birk
Kelvin has been teaching jewellery making and art-related subjects at several colleges in Britain and Europe since 1999. He produces jewellery as well as larger objects, mainly in silver and gold and crushed gemstones.
Within his work he is consciously disregarding what is traditionally considered precious. Birk revels in a lack of control, allows chaos to take over and the nature of the precious materials to dictate the final outcome of the pieces.
