Kay has been at the university since 2014. Kay was a graduate nurse at the beginning of her career, and has experience in nursing people of all ages. Kay then embarked on a career change and became a school teacher, teaching in two infant school settings. She has continued to follow a career in education, first teaching child care and education at a College of Further Education before moving into Higher education.
Kay's interests lie in health and safeguarding, and personal, social and emotional development. Kay also teaches on the modules relevant to these areas and she visits students on their placement and assesses their practice.
