The Research Methods module, which is taught in the autumn semester, provides you with the knowledge skills and competencies for the conduct and reporting of your own research project (the dissertation). The skills developed include critically reviewing the literature, interviewing, questionnaire design, and analysis of both quantitative and qualitative data. The Contemporary Issues module, which is delivered in the spring semester, provides you with a critical perspective of contemporary theories and developments in accounting theory and practice. It involves leading academics giving a presentation on specialist areas.
The Dissertation component, which is completed in the summer semester, enables you to build upon the insights gained from the leading academics and others by carrying out a research project focusing on one issue that is relevant to your personal development and your organisation.
