Overview

This unique course is run in conjunction with the ESCEM Tours-Poitiers School of Business and Management, accredited AACSB and EQUIS and positioned 52nd in the FT business school world rankings. The course involves studying in both London and Poitiers, and successful completion will give you two Masters Degrees - an MA in International marketing Communications from London Metropolitan University and an MSc in International marketing Communications Strategy from ESCEM Tours-Poitiers. This distinctive double award gives you an increased chance of employment in today's global marketing field, wherever you wish to work.

The course now also benefits from additional professional recognition. The leading professional body in the UK, The Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), has validated the modules offered on the programme with the result that this MA is recognised by the Institute, thereby enabling students to gain exemptions from certain of the professional body exams. Students who successfully complete the programme will be entitled to gain membership of the CIM by sitting two additional CIM assessments.

International Marketing Communications is taught in English in both France and the UK, so it is not necessary to be fluent in French to undertake the programme. However, for those who are interested in brushing up their French, or learn it from scratch, a module in French language is offered as an option during the semester in London, and again in Poitiers.

The course gives you the chance to study marketing communications in an international context, taught from two different perspectives. It also aims to provide you with an understanding of the cultural differences in this field between the UK and France, giving you the skills to research and evaluate all aspects of marketing from an international perspective, from branding, advertising and public relations to developing communications strategies.

Also making it distinct among other postgraduate courses of this nature is the four-month marketing placement, which is carried out in a country of your choice. The internship gives you a valuable opportunity to gain work experience that also counts as part of your Masters degree.
