New to the 2016 academic year, MA Early Childhood Studies is part of London Met’s distance learning programme where students are able to complete their studies whilst working, or even whilst living in a different country.

Koral Belitsos graduated with an MA in Early Childhood Studies after it was successfully trialled last academic year. Although Koral studied in England she was also working abroad in Greece, as part of London Met’s distance learning.

“It was a wonderful opportunity to keep in touch with the English education system and continue to study and work in Greece,” says Koral.

“I was able to combine the theory I was learning and put it into practise whilst working in a Montessori school and other pre schools in Athens, Greece.”

The course is available to study both full-time and part-time in order to fit around the needs of working lives.

“You have to be prepared to organise your study time around your everyday life and juggle between work and family,” Koral says.

Kelly Cooper, Head of Health and Early Childhood at London Met, said: “Our sector has matured and we know there is a demand for Early Childhood graduates wishing to continually develop.

“With this in mind the MA Early Childhood Studies has been designed with the busy professional in mind. The MA provides a vibrant online environment where students engage with materials written by leading early childhood writers, a range of electronic materials and experienced tutors.”
