Work from London Met’s Creative Writing students will be celebrated at the launch of the Just Met 2015 anthology.

London Met's Creative Writing students will be showcasing their creative writing talents at the launch of Just Met 2015, an anthology featuring the best poems and stories submitted to the University’s annual writing competition.
The event, which will take place in the evening of Thursday 12 November, will announce the overall winner of the competition and recipient of the coveted Vice Chancellor's Prize for Creative Writing.
The winner will be chosen from the five Sandra Ashman prize winners which have already been awarded by poet and novelist Naomi Foyle who judged this year's entries.
Molly Rivkin received the award for her long meditative poem, Abida Choudhury for her insightful haiku, and Hafsa Mohamud for her powerful lyrical poem. Meanwhile Dominique Sinagra was awarded for her prose and Emily Critchley for a story.
"These were pieces that pulsed with strong concepts, arresting images, powerful rhythms and ambitious approaches to form. My judge’s scalpel had to draw some fine lines!” commented judge Naomi Foyle.
Creative Writing lecturer Sarah Law, who oversees the publication and launch of Just Met 2015, agrees: "I'm very excited about the anthology this year. These are wonderful poems and stories, all thoughtfully and beautifully written.
“One of these pieces will deservedly win the Vice Chancellor's prize. But in my opinion, every piece of writing published in Just Met 2015 demonstrates real creative talent and indicates real promise for our newly published authors."
Members of the public, staff, students and alumni are all invited to attend the launch where there will be readings from the anthology, and refreshments. A complimentary copy of the anthology will be available for all attendees.
