MSc Digital Communication Networks best performing masters course
Students on the MSc in Digital Communication Networks performed better than postgraduates on any other masters course this year.
In 2007, four of the top ten masters graduates at London Metropolitan University and twelve of the 100 students on the Vice Chancellors’ List studied the MSc, making it the best performing masters course across the whole University.
The Vice-Chancellor’s List represents the top achievers in the University’s taught programmes and all of those on the list graduated with a Distinction in their masters course.
Anoosh Nabijou, Course Leader for the Digital Communications Networks, said, ‘This is excellent news for us and once again reflects upon the high quality of the work done by our students.’
The MSc in Digital Communcations Networks develops specialist knowledge and skills in modern communications systems. It includes advance topics in microwave and optical communications, modern signal processing methods for communications and real-time implementations of such methods on either stand alone or internet base systems. Around 47 students were enrolled in the course during the 2006/07 academic year.
Olutope Omogbenigun (pictured), this year's top graduate from the MSc and second highest across the whole University, said, ‘I am very happy with this good news. I am proud to be among the honoured, by making the Vice Chancellor's List for 2007.’
When asked what advice he could offer prospective students looking to study this course in the future, Mr Nabijou said: ‘Choose us only if you are serious about advancing your knowledge in this field.’He continued: ‘We remain focused on delivering an up-to-date and high standard course. Should we beat our record in the next academic year, it would be even better, but we would never let ourselves get distracted from delivering a high quality course. We simply believe in ourselves and our students always commended this belief.’
