London Met in UK top 20 for boosting student earning potential

London Met has been ranked among the best universities in the country in terms of giving students the best “added-value”, in helping them to secure well-paid jobs.

A study by The Parthenon Group found that when it came to graduate employment, London Met matches and often outperforms many Russell Group institutions. Results published this week ranks London Met 15th nationally, higher than the University of Exeter, the University of Southampton and the University of Nottingham.

The Parthenon Group based their findings on data from the Higher Education Statistics Agency.

The data used included salaries earned by graduates six months after finishing their studies. The average starting salary for London Met graduates is £25,493, higher than the national average of £20,500 (DHLE 2011).

The Parthenon Group findings reinforce London Met’s status as the champion of affordable quality education, and reflect its commitment to help students build rewarding careers.

The value-added analysis was reported in the Times Higher Education. Read their coverage and see the ranking table here.
