Highest ever satisfaction in National Student Survey
London Metropolitan University has achieved its highest ever satisfaction rating in the 2011 National Student Survey.
The survey shows that in just one year there has been a six per cent increase in overall student satisfaction from 67 per cent in 2010, to 73 per cent in 2011, making us one of the most improved universities.
Opinion from our part-time students was even more impressive, they showed 94 per cent satisfaction, which is seven per cent higher than the national average.
The Vice-Chancellor Professor Malcolm Gillies said: “We are delighted to see the rapid swing around in student satisfaction this year: at a six per cent increase in one year it is one of the largest in the sector, and gives us heart that the many aspects of change currently being undertaken are appreciated by our students, and are having an effect upon the students’ learning experience. That is our No. 1 strategic priority at London Met.”
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Peter McCaffery, said: “The survey also provides us with an invaluable source of feedback.”
“Students told us that they appreciate the quality of their teaching but that they also require more advice and support, more rapid and helpful feedback, and better communications all round.”
