Time to put pen to paper

A popular short course on creative writing is about to get underway at London Met. “Pen to Paper: An Introduction to Creative Writing” is aimed at anyone who’s always wanted to write stories, poems or memoirs but never known where to start.

Throughout six weekly sessions of two hours each, students will be given lots of starting points and ideas to create their own pieces, as well as suggestions for further reading and study. The course provides a friendly atmosphere in which budding writers can share their works-in-progress. There are no exams, no grades and no previous experience is required. All that’s needed is a pen and paper and a willingness to find out what starting creative writing is all about.

The tutor, Dr Sarah Law, is a published writer and a lecturer in creative writing at London Met.
