London Met to host UNA-UK Film Festival screenings

On Friday 27 November, London Met will be hosting a screening of films as part of the UNA-UK Film Festival. The UNA-UK '2009 We the Peoples Film Festival' is taking place between Thursday 19 November and Monday 30 November across various venues in London.

The We The Peoples Film Festival takes its title from the opening words of the United Nations Charter. The festival strives to raise the profile of the United Nations by promoting its aims and work to new and existing audiences by inspiring and educating them through film. As well as showing high quality films, the festival provides a forum for discussion about the issues portrayed, with experts from across the field.

The screening at London Met is entitled Development, Environment and Peace and will consist of five short films on different topics, followed by Q&A. The discussion will be chaired by David Wardrop, Chairman, UNA Westminster Branch.
