Professional games writer visits London Met

One of Britain's top creative writers for video games recently visited London Met to speak to students on the BA Game Studies programme at the Faculty of Humanities, Arts, Languages and Education.

Andy Walsh has freelanced on many bestselling game titles, including the latest 'Prince of Persia'. With previous credits in theatre and television, he is now one of the country's leading experts on games writing.

Andy gave a short masterclass on the 'on-demand' model of storytelling in games and presented examples of how common writing errors can spoil an otherwise well-designed game.

The visit was a highlight for students on the 'Writing for Games' module, which attracts students from a wide range of undergraduate programmes and provides an intensive introduction to the emerging profession of games writing.
