Craft Central, Clerkenwell curate TOTAL FABRICATION, 2014: an interactive exhibition of contemporary design for interiors with a material twist and select alumna and Design/Shift Project Assistant, Vanja Bazdulj to join the exciting show.
TOTAL FABRICATION will reveal the work of a talented group of designer-makers with an innovative approach to materials.
The exhibit will evolve throughout the festival as live demonstrations of the fascinating craft processes take place each day. The unique group of designers has been selected from Craft Central’s national network to showcase the playful, creative approach to traditional craftsmanship currently invigorating contemporary craft practice.
TOTAL FABRICATION will feature furniture made from felt (by our very own Vanja!), steam-bent wood, oil barrels, forged steel and acrylic; vessels from concrete, stone, glass, ceramic and found objects; hung artwork from porcelain, taxidermy and embroidery; lighting from Jesmonite, leather, wood and paper.
