London Met works with Lewisham Homes each year to award tenants qualifications to improve their employability.

Following the delivery of short courses to tenants and leaseholders of Lewisham Homes, 18 participants graduated in April 2018.
Delivered by Patrick Mulrenan, course leader for Community Development and Leadership BSc, the course runs annually and works directly with Lewisham residents to boost employability and job prospects in the area.
The short course covers all aspects of housing and has helped residents into employment, further education and into membership of the Board of Management of Lewisham Homes.
The graduation was opened by the Chair of Lewisham Homes, Ainsley Forbes, with a performance by Love2Dance, a free street dance programme for young people in Lewisham, and to drinks and canapés.
Dr Allister Butler, Head of Subject Area, was requested to give the keynote address at the graduation ceremony as well as awarding the graduate certificates.
