NEON Award 2015

Success for Cass alumna in Prestigious Curating Award

Rebecca Edwards, an alumna of MA curating the contemporary at The Cass has won the Neon Curatorial Exchange Award 2015. She shares the prize with Joseph Constable (from the Curating Contemporary Art MA programme at the RCA) the first time that two winning curators have been selected since the Award was established in 2012.

The award, presented on 10 December, celebrates the winning curatorial proposal of selected works from the D.Daskalopoulos Collection submitted by emerging curators from Greece and students and alumni from the following Masters programmes: Curating the Contemporary, London Metropolitan University and Whitechapel Gallery; Curating the Art Museum, Courtauld Institute of Art; Curating Contemporary Art, Royal College of Art, and Curating, Goldsmiths College. The NEON Curatorial Award has been set up in partnership between the NEON organisation in Greece and the Whitechapel Gallery to build links between young curators in London and Greece, share new ideas developed around the presentation of contemporary art and champion curatorial excellence.
