London Met hosts public consultation on plans to develop Holloway campus

London Met hosts two public consultation events inviting the Islington community, staff and students to view and feedback on proposals for developing Holloway campus.

Date: 28 March 2017

London Met hosted two public consultation events on its exciting plans to develop Holloway campus. Members of the public, as well as staff and students were invited to view the proposals for the design of the campus which include plans to create a brand new Teaching and Learning Building with 25 dynamic teaching spaces, a large catering outlet with the capacity to seat 250, a vibrant central plaza, and a multi-use theatre.

The consultation events included the launch of the One Campus, One Community (OCOC) flythrough video which brought the overall vision of our future single Islington-based campus to life. All guests were invited to provide feedback on the proposals via our Holloway public consultation survey which received a very enthusiastic, positive response. Attendees were asked about their thoughts on the proposals and what they would like to see included in the plans for the development of Holloway campus.

The overall public consultation ran for a total of two weeks ending on the 20th March giving those who could not attend the events the chance to view the plans online and feedback via our online survey. All feedback and suggested ideas provided by our students, staff and Islington community are now being used to further inform the overall plans for the Holloway campus.
