Sandys Row Synagogue, Spitalfields

Writer Rachel Lichtenstein is keen to work with Cass Art, Architecture and Design on behalf of Sandys Row Synagogue in Spitalfields, London’s oldest Ashkenazi synagogue. The synagogue wishes to create a cultural/heritage space in its basement in order to develop the following activities:

  • Cultural/performance events
  • Lectures/screenings/exhibitions/education events

Partners, stakeholders and accommodation schedule have been identified, so projects could start from Semester B in January 2017 and continue next academic year.

Fulham Scout Campsite, Biggin Hill

The 15th Fulham Scouts have contacted Cass Projects through RIBA Client services to request design proposals for their campsite in Biggin Hill. The site is approximately 2.5a, semi woodland adjacent to the National Scout Activity Centre and Charles Darwin’s House in Downe.

The site requires:

  • Shelter for meeting and Leader facilities
  • Shower/WC block.

The Scout group is happy to discuss prototype work happening on site and joint working with Cass students. Water and electricity are connected, planning has been discussed and funds are in place for phase 1. Proposals welcome as soon as possible. For more information please contact: j.ng@londonmet.ac.uk

We look forward to hearing from you!
