Cara – A lifeline to academics at risk

Executive Director at the Council for At-Risk academics to deliver talk at London Met.

Date: 9 March 2018

On Wednesday 14 March, Stephen Wordsworth, Executive Director at the Council for At-Risk Academics (Cara), will be visiting London Met to talk about Cara’s work supporting academics who have been forced to flee by persecution, suffering or conflict.

Founded in 1933, Cara’s founders have defined their goal as “the relief of suffering and the defence of learning and science.” Against the background of recent crises in the Middle East and elsewhere, Cara helps academics find temporary sanctuary through regional programmes.

Staff are invited to hear Stephen’s talk in on 14 March at 11.30 - 12.30 in TMG-83, Holloway Campus by signing up to Eventbrite
