BA (Hons) Economics and International Business
This Joint Honours course gives you the opportunity to specialise in two disciplines, providing you with a greater career choice and a range of highly transferable skills. You will gain a sound grounding in both business and economics, with a focus on international business activity. You acquire the ability to use economic reasoning, as well as an understanding of organisational features such as the external environments of international businesses. It will explain how international businesses have contributed to globalisation and how they respond to the challenges posed by the global economy.
Three levels, each of 120 credits. For this Joint you study each subject for 60 credits at each level.

All LMBS undergraduate degree programmes offer an optional, 12-month professional work placement, normally taken after the first two years of study. The placement year offers students the opportunity to gain an additional 30 credits at degree level and valuable graduate level work experience Additionally it provides students with an internationally recognised City and Guilds Licentiateship Award and eligibility for membership of The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
Career opportunities
This course opens up a wide range of career opportunities. Graduates obtain employment in well-known international companies, global financial corporations, or public sector organisations. A sizeable proportion also progress to postgraduate study.

Click here for the University's standard entry requirements. In addition, you should have 160 to 200 points, including at least 140 from two or more A-levels. English Language and Mathematics GCSE at grade C or above are also required. These requirements may be varied in individual cases. We consider people from a wide range of educational and academic backgrounds.
If you have previous academic or work-based qualifications, achievement or appropriate experience you may be exempted from part of the course. Direct entry into level 2/3 could be considered.
* Attendance is required at both campuses. You must be prepared for travelling time between the two campuses, which can take up to 45 minutes.
