BA (Hons) Business Economics
This course provides you with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of economic analysis and its application to business. You will develop a thorough understanding of the economic factors affecting the structure, strategic decisions and social and ethical dimensions of modern businesses. You will be encouraged to develop economic reasoning in a variety of contexts and to apply economic analysis to business problems. By the end of the course you will be able to provide a critical and informative analysis of the operation of domestic and international companies.
Three levels, each of 120 credits. If you take a Joint you study each subject for 60 credits at each level.

Optional Professional Placement Year with additional Professional Accreditation
All LMBS undergraduate degree programmes offer an optional, 12-month professional work placement, normally taken after the first two years of study. The placement year offers students the opportunity to gain an additional 30 credits at degree level and valuable graduate level work experience Additionally it provides students with an internationally recognised City and Guilds Licentiateship Award and eligibility for membership of The Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM).
Career opportunities
A wide range of career opportunities are opened up by this course. Graduates often obtain employment in managerial positions within well-known international companies, global financial corporations, or public sector organisations.

Click here for the University's standard entry requirements. You should also have 200 points including at least 140 points from two or more A-levels. You should have GCSE Grade C or above, or equivalent, in English Language and Maths.
If you have previous academic or work-based qualifications or experience you may be exempt from part of the course. Level 2/3 entry could be considered.
