brief biography
Valerio Studied at the University of Reading, the University of Warwick, and the European University Institute in Florence. Valerio's previous jobs include Principal Lecturer in European Studies at the University of North London, Principal lecturer in Economics at London Guildhall University, Researcher at the European University Institute in Florence, and he has also worked for the Open University. He speaks fluent Italian and French, and has research and teaching links with a number of mainland EU Universities.
key teaching areas
Valerio currently teaches modules on the European Economy, the Political economy of European Integration, Microeconomics, and the Economics of Employment at undergraduate level, as well as modules on the Economics of European Integration. He also supervises postgraduate students in his area of expertise.
research interests
Valerio's research interests are centred on the European Economy, the Economics of European integration, interdisciplinary approaches to the EU, and the Economics and politics of contemporary Italy. He has published extensively in these areas, including articles in journals and a number of well received books.
