brief biography

Sue’s education started with BA in Economics at Kingston Polytechnic (1982), followed by MSc Economics at London School of Economics (1984) and MBA at University of North London (1997).

She began her teaching career at Kingston Polytechnic in 1984 as a Lecturer in Quantitative Methods. She then joined the Hospitality Management Department at the Polytechnic of North London in 1985 as a Lecturer in Applied Economics and Quantitative Methods. In 1988, she became a Senior Lecturer in Applied Economics and Quantitative Methods at the Business School at University of North London.

Sue was also a lecturer in Microeconomics and Macroeconomics at the International Summer School in Economics at LSE during 1990-96.

She has been involved in teaching microeconomics, macroeconomics, business economics and quantitative methods on a wide range of courses at HND, Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels over time. Sue has held many different administrative roles such as Course Leader for BA Hospitality Management and BA International Hotel and Catering Management (1990-98), Member of Business School Quality Committee (1992-96) and Teaching and Learning Committee (1993-95), Enterprise in Higher Education Coordinator (1994-95), Profiling Project Leader (1993-95) to name a few. She has recently been involved in the Metal Project (Enhancing Teaching and Learning Mathematics) 2007-08.
