Developing employability skills
Learning is not memorising. We expect you to reason, to question, to debate, and to carry out your own research and to develop your own conclusions. Active engagement makes study much more satisfying, and is valued highly by employers.
As well as mastering the subject, employers want you to have developed good transferable skills including networking, presentation, team-working, and time management skills. We focus on these progressively in our courses, adding professional relevance to your study.
Variety
Through your studies you will develop a range of competencies through lectures, seminars, essays and assessment which will involve industry projects, case studies, student-led seminars, executive summary reports, computer-based projects, presentations, group management projects, synario simulations, games, dissertations and other forms of activity.
International Students
You will be studying with students from all parts of the UK and from over 70 other countries. Exchange ideas and build lasting friendships and networks with students from all over the world.
Study Abroad
Choose one of our degrees that will enable you to study in mainland Europe for a semester. The department has link agreements with several highly rated Universities including with Stockholm University, Lund University, and the University of Montpellier.
