ATPL Brush Up Courses
- The Centre for Civil Aviation at London Metropolitan University is able to offer ATPL Brush Up Courses, which are suitable for Pilots who hold a full ICAO ATPL with a minimum of 1,500 PIC hours, who are exempt the ‘approved’ course, but need to do revision to cover the materials required to sit the exams. It is also suitable for all Students who need to revise for exams.
- It is designed in line with the ‘Approved’ distance learning requirements that fill in any gaps in knowledge.
- There are 14 individual subjects to be revised which are either a full or half a day and can be bought individually as per your requirements.
- The courses are held approximately every 6 - 8 weeks and are held at the Centre.
Phase A Duration: 4.5 days
Held: Monday to Thursday from 09:00 - 16:15 and Friday 09:00 - 12:15
Subjects Covered:
- Airframes - 1/2 day
- Electrics - 1/2 day
- Power Plants - 1/2 day
- Systems - 1 day
- Performance - 1 day
- Principles of Flight - 1 day
Phase B Duration: 4 days
Held: Monday to Thursday from 09:00 - 16:15
Subjects Covered:
- Air Law & ATC - 1/2 day
- General Navigation - 1 day
- IFR Communications - 1/2 day
- Instrument/Electronics - 1 day
- Radio Navigation - 1 day
- VFR Communications - 1/2 day
Phase C Duration: 3.5 days
Held: Monday to Wednesday 09:00 - 16:15 and Thursday 09:00 - 12:15

- Flight Planning & Monitoring - 1 day
- Human Performance & Limitations - 1/2 day
- Mass & Balance - 1/2 day
- Meteorology - 1 day
- Operational Procedures - 1/2 day
Fees: £100 per day - £50 per 1/2 day
To book a place on a course you will need to confirm with the Centre the course date and then use the Universies E Shop to pay and book a place.
