Business Works - Supporting Your Employment Needs

LMBS can provide a cost-effective labour resource to assist your business, through our part-time work experience and full-time 12-month work placement schemes. LMBS consists of a diverse student population studying courses covering a broad range of business subjects.

For over 25 years we have been placing students with organisations, many of which return to us year after year because of our professional and tailored service. Our schemes provide a foundation for our students to transfer knowledge and skills learnt to industry, which in turn aid in building stronger relationships between LMBS and the business community.

Events Management Knowledge

Events Management Knowledge aims to work in partnership with commercial, public and charitable organisations to strengthen London's tourism, sports, hospitality and cultural industries. These sectors are of huge importance to London's future both as a business and cultural world hub. In particular, their continued development will be key to the success of the 2012 Olympic Games and post-event attractiveness to international investment and opportunities.

The EMK initiative has built considerable knowledge and expertise to provide specialised training and development in event management skills for UK and international companies and employees. The University's academic staff, many of whom themselves have practitioner experience, also provide a bank of networking opportunities and contacts with London’s key business sectors across private, public and third sector, to provide the highest quality learning and training on all courses provided.
