LONDON METROPOLITAN BUSINESS SCHOOL
Management Research Centre
Introduction
The Management Research Centre was established in 1996 as a faculty-wide research centre to promote management research and consultancy undertaken by academic staff within the University. It aims to support the development of a strong research culture and of research expertise within the business and management area of the University. While it seeks external funding and acts as a vehicle which enables the proven expertise of academic staff to be deployed for the mutual benefit of those staff, the clients and the University, it also enhances external measures of research quality through the generation of published academic outputs.
The centre is headed by Professor Dean Bartlett and has a number of other associates including Professors and other academic staff from within the Business School and across the University more widely, as well as external partners and Visiting Professors. It also employs contract research staff to work on externally funded applied research and consultancy projects for commercial and public clients.
