About Energy Day: Sustainable Supply

This is a single day within the EU Sustainable Energy Europe Week (EUSEW) devoted to promote the awareness of the significant role of sustainable energy supply. The event promotes issues of energy production to support our economic and social activities. We aim at spreading the initiative through Europe as an opportunity to increase awareness of the need to balance home-grown energy and energy imports to address both balance of payments and energy security - stable, affordable and diversified energy supplies. Our target audiences are leaders in government, civil society and business and also among the general public. During this day, talks and demonstrations will take place to increase awareness of sustainable ways of energy production at the global, regional, local and industrial levels. This is particularly important in areas where renewable energy projects face objections from local communities.

In cooperation with the project DIREKT (Developing Island Renewable Energy Knowledge and Technology).

Why participate in the event?

  • To effectively communicate new ideas about sustainable energy supply
  • To achieve maximum penetration of new and novels ideas to key decision-makers in business and government
  • To promote new investment opportunities for a sustainable energy system
  • To showcase the latest innovations in energy technology, policy and practice
