Communication Advertising and Marketing Foundation (CAM): Digital Marketing
Aims of the course
The aim of the CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing is provide a detailed understanding of what digital marketing is, about buzzwords and major trends and about important concepts such as Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Pay Per Click (PPC), types of online advertising, email marketing, viral marketing, online PR, affiliate marketing and social media. It also covers the areas of digital metrics, legislation, regulation and codes of practice.
The Diploma is idea for anyone who currently works in marketing and who wants to increase their knowledge and awareness of digital marketing. The student can progress from this Diploma to the CAM Diploma in Marketing Communications with an exemption from the Marketing and Consumer Behaviour double module.

Entry requirements
Choose from ONE of the following:
- You have any degree from a university
- You have A-levels in a relevant subject eg. business
- You have 2 years experience in communications, eg. by working in a charity or government or company communications job
Equivalent qualification from a non-UK organisation may well be acceptable provided students have achieved the equivalent of the above entry criteria. Those with significant communications industry experience, but without the formal qualifications, can apply for special consideration of their circumstances.
Course structure
The CAM Diploma in Digital Marketing has three modules. Initially you will study Marketing and Consumer Behaviour, a double module, which is studied over two evenings per week. You will then progress to the two other core modules:
- Digital Marketing Essentials
- Digital Marketing Planning
Assessment
Digital Marketing Essentials, Digital Marketing Planning and Marketing and Consumer Behaviour are all assessed via coursework.
Registration deadlines
Registrations are accepted until the module is full. To be certain of being accepted on to the course that you want, you should send your registration form about three weeks ahead of the class. However, please contact the Course Administrator for updates on space availability. If you are late at registration, we will try to find you space on a course which is not yet full.

Attendance and duration
Part-time (eve)
18 months (three terms). Typically students complete the course in 18 months by attending two evening lectures a week.
