INTRODUCTION
Business Works is responsible for student employability development through work placements and promotion of extra curricular activities, University central services and the communications of the Business School. The focus includes:
- employability and business events
- employer and professional body liaison
- supporting students in finding suitable short and long-term placement opportunities
- collaborating with all LMBS subject groups for academic skills, employability development and Personal Development Planning
- assisting in preparing students for the professional business environment in conjunction with the Careers.

Business Works can help you to gain the experience you need to develop employability skills and improve your career prospects. Benefit from professional employment placements or get involved with skill enhancing University activities and initiatives and learn how to promote yourself effectively:
- gain advice on improving your employability skills and CV and how to get involved with University activities such as societies, development projects, business competition and volunteering in the community. We explain how our Placement Officers and University central services, such as the Careers and Student Services can assist you in these areas.
- find out about taking long and short optional assessed work-related learning module and get support if you are studying a 12 month compulsory placement course programme. Find out more.
