1. Course Overview

This programme has been designed to enable delegates to select modules from the London Metropolitan University postgraduate finance programme to gain a specialist understanding of financial markets, derivatives, and investment.

Modules include:

  • Quantitative Research Methods for Finance
  • Financial Markets and Portfolio Analysis
  • Risk Hedging and Financial Instruments
  • Investment Fund Management
  • Ethical Investment
  • Exotic Options
  • Technical Analysis and Trading Rules
  • Structured Equity Products
  • Structured Fixed Income Products
  • Bank Capital Management
  • Hedge Funds and Alternative Investments

Delegates join postgraduate students on modules that are technical but practical making use of Bloomberg analytics and spreadsheets.

Modules develop understanding of modern financial instrument analysis, investment techniques and applications, familiarity with financial statistics and appropriate software used in financial modelling and risk analysis.

2. Who should attend?

Delegates should hold a minimum of a lower second-class honours degree from a UK University, or equivalent, in a quantitative subject such as accountancy, economics or finance, or have relevant work experience.
