Research in the Sir John Cass Department of Art, Media and Design is co-ordinated by eleven research groups.
The main functions of research groups are:
· To formalise research endeavour
· To promote collaborative research and support individual research
· To bring staff with common interests together in a formal setting
· To promote publication and exhibition
Groups stage regular seminar series, national and international conferences, masterclasses and exhibitions, and some produce their own publications.
