Ready To Eat
The Cass MA Show 2008
This year’s Cass MA Show will take place between the 12 -15 September 2008 at Central House, City Campus. The exhibition entitled ‘Ready to Eat’ is a showcase of innovative Postgraduate work from over a hundred students on both Taught and Research courses at 'The Cass' (The Sir John Cass Department of Art, Media and Design), London Metropolitan University.
Work from the taught MA Design Suite will include final projects from MA courses in Textiles, Jewellery, Product Design, Interior Design, Furniture Design, Graphic Design and Design Research for Disability. Students from MA By Project courses will exhibit research driven project work in diverse design disciplines including Fine Art, Jewellery and Music Technology. There will be an exhibition of work by MA Photography students in Unit 2 Gallery and the Central House Foyer
The show’s name, logo and theme were devised and designed by Javier Ruelta, a student on MA Graphic Design, one of the exhibiting courses
Talking about ’Ready To Eat’, Michael Upton Academic Leader at the department said: ‘The culinary metaphor is very appropriate- visitors can expect a feast for the senses which combines the finest creative ingredients available. This is the year the postgraduate show truly steps out from the shadow of the famous John Cass Summer Show and becomes a major exhibition in its own right, thanks to the increasing number and diversity of postgraduate courses and students at the Cass. Expect imagination, innovation and inspiration - a recipe for success, whatever your taste.’
