Rajoo Manivelu
"I am from Malaysia of Sri Lankan and Indian descent and I'm very pleased to have been awarded a scholarship at London Met to study MA International Economics and Trade.
I'm a disabled student and was born with Acondroplacia (which is a disease of the bones that stunts your growth) and I've been in a wheelchair for the past 15 years.
In the future I would like to work for the UN or another NGO assisting disabled people worldwide who are suffering with conditions and disabilities, similar to myself.
I would like to thank London Met for this scholarship opportunity. My tutors have always been very supportive from day one and they have encouraged me throughout my previous Bachelors degree studies here. The Library staff and other Administrators are also very helpful and I would encourage other disabled and able-bodied students to come to London Met, as well, as it is a great place to study."
