Gu Xinli said: "The establishment of the Forward China Graduate Scholarship is a huge impetus and encouragement to Chinese students. It will inspire me to live up to the huge expectations and obtain more achievements in future. It not only provides a material support but also offers spiritual strength which will inspire me and others in future to make a better contribution to our motherland against all odds when I complete my Masters degree and return home to China."

"Personally, it is the persistent love for English teaching that makes me what I am today. Looking back on the teaching career of more than twenty years, I feel that I have only done what I should do and love to do as an ordinary teacher. After this course at London Met, I will redouble my efforts, devote myself to the pursuit of a more appropriate teaching approach for my students back in China in order to justify the great trust and hopes placed in me by awarding me the Forward China Graduate scholarship. Thank you London Met in London and its China Office, its staff, my family members and all my friends who have been offering me encouragement, support and help!"
