My name is Victor De Martino and I am a 27-year-old Brazilian
journalist. Before coming to UK, I had been a member of the Brazilian Army for
one year. Apart from that, I had worked for almost five years as a reporter for
Veja Magazine, the world's fourth largest weekly publication.
I am currently
taking the MA International Security Studies here at the London Metropolitan
University. This is certainly the most important step in my life because this
course will improve my professional capabilities. Furthermore, living in a
cosmopolitan city like London, where I can be in contact with people from so
many different countries, is going to change the way I see the world. I know
that I am going to face twelve months of hard work. However, I am confident
that this year will be unforgettable and that I will be successful because I
have London Met, my friends, even my family in Brazil, and specially my wife to
stand by me.
