1. What do I need to do to apply for a scholarship?

Before you may apply for any of London Met's scholarships, you must have applied to study on a course here and be in receipt of an unconditional offer letter (for all new students).

  • We receive thousands of applications each year and are unable to reply to all.

  • Then a formal letter will be sent to you to confirm all the details in writing.
  • We will also publish the results of those awarded a scholarship on our website under the heading 'Recently awarded scholarships'
  • Visit this website page if you want to see the results printed.

15. What if my unconditional offer letter is linked to a pre-sessional course? Will London Met pay?

If you've been fortunate enough to have been awarded a scholarship, please note that London Met will NOT pay for any pre-sessional courses that may be linked or attached to your course offer and you will be responsible for paying this element.

For example, you may be awarded a scholarship to study MSc Business Economics and Finance, on the understanding that you first do the pre-sessional English course.  In this instance, you will need to pay for the pre-sessional course, and London Met would pay for the Masters (or MSc course) as this is what your scholarship was awarded for, not the pre-sessional course.

Please note that Short courses and English language courses, Foundation Programmes, HND's and pre-Masters degrees are not covered by any of London Metropolitan University's Scholarships.

16. Can I bring my family with me?

Please note that London Met can not be responsible for family members (spouse, children, parents, etc.) and those students who have been awarded a scholarship are well advised not to bring family members with them, unless they are fully willing and able to provide the care and financial support required by these individuals.
