Exchange abroad
The University has a wide range of links with institutions overseas, so that you can spend one part of your course in another country. Studying in a foreign country gives you a fantastic experience, and looks great on your CV when you graduate.
The UK Council for International Student Affairs - UKCISA, has lots of good advice.
If you are a London Metropolitan University student and would like to study abroad as part of your degree, there are two main ways in which you can do this:
ERASMUS, EU Exchange |
OVERSEAS Exchange |
|
|
Erasmus is an educational programme funded by the European Commission. These bilateral exchange agreements are subject specific and may be for one semester or one year. Some institutions teach in English, others require you to speak another language fluently. For more information on the possibilities for your degree course visit the Outgoing Students section |
The University has bilateral exchange agreements with universities outside the EU. The majority of these are in the USA. There are restrictions according to degree subject although most links are not subject specific. Exchanges are usually only for one semester.
|
If you want to improve your fluency in a foreign language whilst on your degree course, you can join the Open Language Programme .
