The UK Web Archiving Consortium was established in 2004 to selectively archive UK websites and ensure that key scholarly, cultural and scientific web resources will be available to researchers of the future.
The Women's Library has been involved in the selection process, identifying relevant websites relating to the study of women. The Women's issues collection is available as an alphabetical list of websites on the UK Web Archiving Consortium website.
It contains links to over 130 women's archived websites dating from 2005. These include sites of women's organisations, campaigns and networks, research reports and statistics, as well as personal sites, such as blogs, and women focused e-zines.
To nominate a women's website in the UK domain for archiving please contact the The Women's Library, please give your email the subject heading 'Web Archive'.
