This extensive list of web resources on women's history will enable you to discover where you can access information to aid your research. It is divided into a number of categories, as shown on the left. Alternatively, use the A-Z facility for an overview of all the websites listed in these pages.
Women's lives and their social, political,
economic and cultural contributions are becoming the increasing focus
of historical, cross-disciplinary and interdisciplinary research. By
dividing the sources into categories, you will be able to access the
required information easily, and due to the broad selection criteria
you will find entries that are relevant and useful.
Women's history sources have been found by searching information
gateways and portals, other women's history websites, search engines
and sites that The Women's Library staff have found useful. Sites which
support the collection descriptions made available through the Genesis
database have also been included.
The Guide to Sources is not exhaustive and will be updated by the
Genesis team. If you don't find what you're looking for at first,
please return at a later date. Suggestions for sources to include in
the content of the Guide to Sources are welcomed.
