The main aim is to increase
access to women's history resources. We have developed Genesis with
the user in mind from the types of collections to be included through
to the design of our search facilities. As well as searching collections
from the 46 institutions and organisations who have submitted descriptions
of their collections, researchers can use the Guide
to Sources to enhance their research and access women's sources
around the world. Genesis is of benefit to all types of researchers
from schoolchildren and genealogists to academic researchers. It will
also benefit the archive and library communities by enabling them
to describe their women's history collections and make these accessible
to the wider community.
