Harvey Reehal trained in sculpture, installation art and performance art.
His practice has involved working in collaboration with other artists and for international artists as assistant. He has also worked as assistant director for commercials.
Other work has involved set building for shows. His interests include recycling re-using and up-cycling and he has musical interests in guitars and percussion instruments from around the world. He also plays in a 7 piece ska/punk/soul band.
"On the first day of this project I had realised by about mid morning the project was not really going well. With a pile of paper and a craft knife I tested what could be achieved with a simple A4 piece of paper, I became aware very quickly of simple scoring, cutting, bending techniques that students could use I was able to pass these skills on to the students during demonstrations. The project grew to be very successful and today is great way of getting students to understand what can be created from simple everyday material. " - Harvey Reehal on Paper Test Project.
